Cherry Cherry Bim is a boutique, artisan made, block printing fabric studio established in 2020. Our beautiful textiles are designed, hand printed and proudly produced in Australia. In 2022, to complement our textile collection, we added ceramics to our range.

Cherry Cherry Bim is the creative expression of Ashley Valmadre. Her textile designs are a combination of sophistication, joyful exuberance and fond memories of a childhood spent on a cherry orchard in Northern Michigan.

With a passion for design, interiors and a love of home furnishings we believe in the beauty and versatility of textiles, and know that pattern, colour and textures have an overwhelming power to transform spaces adding layers of individual style.

At Cherry Cherry Bim, we embrace the pleasure of walking into a room and feeling the unconscious pleasure of a smile of delight. We enjoy the personal touch of a home filled with treasures from travels and family and life. We champion the eccentric, the mismatched, the path less travelled, the challenge of a bespoke furniture piece, the hand-made, the personal, the work of the artist and the artisan. We believe that a home is not a home until it is filled with memories, love, laughter, family and friends.

THE PROCESS IS AS IMPORTANT AS THE FINISHED PRODUCT 

At Cherry Cherry Bim HQ, the process is just as important as the final product. Each of our patterns starts as a sketch, with the designs then refined in our studio and block printed in our workshop, by our hand, in Perth, Western Australia, using eco-friendly, water based, Australian made inks.

An appealing and timeless element of block printing is the natural texture of the fabric combining with the ink, bringing dimension and character to the hand-crafted fabric.

Minor imperfections are a distinction of the maker’s mark, a natural characteristic of artisan-made products and a pleasing part of what sets these textiles apart.

We enjoy the surprise of a cheery pattern alongside its more serious colleagues and have therefore created our range of designs in many glorious and appealing colour combinations. We are not printing en masse and offer many options to interior designers and home lovers, including bespoke colours and design, small runs and special hand-made pieces for the home with our per meter fabrics printed on the best quality 100% Belgian Linen in Oyster and Oatmeal, for both light and heavy upholstery. 

CERAMICS

Not quite content to simply produce lampshades from our fabrics, Ashley and the team had a strong desire to also create Cherry Cherry Bim customised lampbases. And so began our collection of hand painted ceramics, introduced early in 2022.

Playful ceramic tableware is a gorgeous complement to our table linen with an extra element of fun added through our distinctive scallop platters and flamboyant floral paintings.

The Morgan table lamp is a distinctive hand crafted statement piece for your home. The lamp bases can be ordered in a range of colours and complemented with our lampshades in either plain linen or, for an extra layer of individual style, they are also available in our signature fabric range.

The ceramics and lighting range is continually evolving, so please keep an eye out for more products to be released throughout the year.
